Our vape cartridges Sour Diesel contain 80% cannabinol distillate, 10% cannabidiol distillate and natural terpenes. By vaporizing, a very high bioavailability of about 50% - 60% is achieved. By combining the high concentration of cannabinol and cannabidiol plus the high bioavailability through inhalation, a particularly strong potency can be achieved. Our vape cartridges contain almost exclusively cannabinol (CBN) and cannabidiol (CBD), supplemented by natural terpenes to achieve an optimal consistency. Due to the production method (CO2 extraction), our vape cartridges do not contain tetrahydrocannabinol (THC).

By adding natural terpenes also extracted from the cannabis plant, each strain has its own unique flavor. Sour Diesel entices with an earthy and diesel-like aroma with a lemony aftertaste.

About the production of cannabinol:

CBN is most commonly found in highly oxidized hemp products as well as aged cannabis plant material. Unlike the other cannabinoids, cannabinol itself does not come from the CBG parent chemical. Instead, it is a degraded byproduct of tetrahydrocannabinolic acid (THCA).

This occurs when cannabis plants are exposed to sunlight for an extended period of time until the THCA is converted to CBNA (cannabinolic acid). CBN is thus a decarboxylation (release of carbon dioxide from plants) of CBNA.

Our cannabinol extract is 100% natural. The distillate is obtained from organically grown, certified hemp plants (Cannabis Sativa L.). It is completely free of harmful pesticides & herbicides as well as other contaminants.

What are the effects of cannabinol?

Cannabinol (CBN) is a mildly psychoactive cannabinoid, so psychoactive effects are present with CBN to some degree. However, if you are using CBN oil to combat your ailments, you will likely feel little. CBN is nowhere near as potent as THC. However, only a very small dose of CBN is needed to feel a strong sedative effect. According to Steep Hill, CBN exhibits the strongest sedative effects among all cannabinoids, including THC and CBD. Steep Hill is a company involved in hemp testing and research.

Steep Hill scientists have found that CBN can produce its sedative effects at a very small dose of 2.5 mg. They have even compared CBN to diazepam and found that 2.5 mg of CBN has similar sedative effects to 5 mg of diazepam.

It is also described that CBN may have antibacterial effects if used properly. In 2008, Italian researchers reported that with three other cannabinoids (THC, CBD, CBG), CBN may also have antibacterial effects against dangerous multi-drug resistant MRSA germs.
